Painting entitled Cullercoats by the North East artist John Falconar Slater of the scene at Cullercoats, near Tynemouth where fishermen and swimmers are using the beach together. Some fishing cobles (small boats) are drawn up on the sand near the Lifeboat House. The picture was drawn in soft black pencil and washed over with colour, probably watercolour.
